Young Carers Festival
The Young Carers Festival (YCF) is an exclusive event for young people who have a caring responsibility at home. Run in partnership with The Children’s Society, YCF was created in 2000 to give young carers the chance to have fun away from their caring role, raise awareness of this often hidden group of young people and allow young carers to share experiences with others in a similar situation. 2012 saw the 13th annual festival with over 1,500 young people from across the UK attending.
YCF 2013 will take place at Fairthorne Manor from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June. Tickets include entertainment, camping and food; please note that young carers must come as part of a Young Carers Project.

YCF 2013 will have an arts theme, with lots of ways to get creative, even if you don’t consider yourself an artist. As always, there will be plenty of live music and discos, all the fantastic Fairthorne Manor activities and the chance to get your voice heard in the Voice Zone or live on the radio.
