YMCA Fairthorne Group has over 50 years experience at hosting school trips and group visits. This experience means we understand the amount of organisation required on your part. If you choose us, we are here to assist you in planning your visit, every step of the way.
Fairthorne Manor is visited by over 15,000 children and young people each year and the grounds provide a safe and stimulating environment.
Location
Fairthorne Manor is based at a 111 acre rural site in the village of Curdridge in Hampshire, between the coastal cities of Southampton and Portsmouth.
The site is bordered by the upper reaches of the River Hamble, with direct access to the River being an important factor in our activity programmes.
Outdoor Activities
Fairthorne Manor site is well equipped with a range of outdoor activity facilities, environmental discovery and play activities. Our enthusiastic staff are fully trained in running outdoor activity programmes which promote key skills, including;

- Personal challenges
We have a number of residential programmes and non-residential programmes to choose from at Fairthorne Manor. These include;
- Day visits
- Weekend packages
- 4 night packages
We can also tailor make a programme to suit your needs if none of our packages fit.

Accommodation
Indoor accommodation is available year round for up to 174 in our two purpose built accommodation blocks.
Tent villages provide camping for over 200 people between April and October.
Inclusion
With over sixty years experience at running adventure programmes for children, Fairthorne Manor is, of course, experienced at providing additional assistance for children and young people with additional needs.
