Weston Feature

Weston Park

Our Weston Park Nursery is an integral part of the local community, delivering childcare to the highest standards.

Our fantastic nursery is located in a purpose built building within the grounds of Weston Park Primary School and a pleasant wooded area providing ample opportunities for children to get outside to explore and investigate.  Our team of professionals offer a tailored curriculum that is designed to stretch the child and support them in embracing new challenges within a stimulating and nurturing environment.

We focus on encouraging children to value and respect others.  These core values support children in understanding others, their own needs and feelings as well as developing the ability to show empathy for others.

Our strong emphasis on the outdoor environment provides opportunities for children to embrace the living world through practical activities:

    • Planting and watching seeds grow and recording their observations
    • Encouraging the inquisitive to forage for small insects and wonder at the different varieties and colours in the Mini Beast Hotel
    • Caring for Whinny the Guinea Pig and our chicken named Ruby; the children help collect the eggs daily and care for the animals by cleaning, feeding and changing their water.

 Award winner

Eating the right food is a vital building block in a child’s life, so we’re delighted to announce the nursery has recently won a healthy eating award!

Our fantastic team have been awarded the Southampton Healthy Early Years Award,  a new initiative developed in line with the heightened national focus on physical activity and healthy eating for the under-fives.  The prestigious award helps early years settings set the highest recognised quality standards of childcare and allows them to act as mentors to other settings.

“The atmosphere at the nursery is so welcoming my daughter never wants to come home”  Joanna Smart

“The nursery has helped Taylor with sharing, spelling and many other important learning skills.  He is content and loves coming here.  I have never had any concerns or worries and all the staff make you feel really comfortable and welcome.  The play area outside is really good and Taylor loves the chickens which I think is lovely.  I have endless pictures and creative things come home daily and each is signed by Taylor as he can now write his own name”  Lisa Roste

“I have found the staff very flexible and helpful.  I work part-time and if I ever need to change arrangements they always help.  My children have loved their time here and it has helped them prepare for the infant school”  Lucy Griffiths

“The nursery is a lovely environment for pre-schoolers. All the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great.  I have no hesitation in recommending it as either a nursery, pre-school or both.  My daughter has already made some special friends and to see them go off together to play is great”  Helen Snow
