YMCA delivers a range of programmes within the Southampton area to help support young people in a variety of settings and circumstances, including the most vulnerable and challenging young people.
Our services include the following:
- Housing – providing accommodation and support for young people in the heart of the city.
- Youth Work in Hamble – support for young people in the Hamble, Bursledon and Hound areas.
- Youth work programmes – bespoke courses to support the needs of your group.
- Support in schools – includes our Engage programme (for young people finding it difficult to engage with the school community) and Transition programme (preparing for the transition from primary to secondary school)

Reporting hate crime in Southampton
YMCA Southampton are playing their part in helping to raise awareness for hate crime across the city.
Hate crimes and hate incidents are offences and incidents that target a person’s race, nationality, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, faith or gender identity. Crimes are motivated by hostility or prejudice and can have a devastating impact on victims, their family, friends and or the community.
