Located in the grounds of St Vincent College, just off the A32 Forton Road, our nursery provides excellent quality childcare for the local community.
The nursery is purpose built with a dedicated enclosed garden, offering your child a fantastic environment for their learning and development. Your child will access a wide range of activities with our exceptional staff team, enabling them to learn and develop through play with a focus on the outdoors. The nursery fully embraces active and outdoor play with each day bringing a new adventure.
All of our meals are prepared fresh daily so we can ensure your child enjoys healthy, tasty and nutritious meals.
Investigators (under 2s)
Our experienced team create a safe and nurturing ‘home from home’ for your child, establishing strong bonds with baby and you.
We work closely with you to understand your child’s interests and emerging personality, and help with big steps such as weaning and walking.
New experiences are introduced as your child develops, such as treasure baskets, controlled climbing and heuristic play.
Your child will have daily opportunities to get messy, be physically active and express their creativity and development. A cosy sleep space ensures a relaxing nap time.
Children also have access to the garden with plenty of resources and shelter.
Adventurers & Discoverers (2-5 year olds)
Your child will want lots of opportunities to be physically active and build on their growing confidence and independence. They will learn about their environment through play, discovering how fast they can move, how to co-ordinate and developing their imagination. Our stimulating indoor space and garden will ensure your child benefits from a mixture of child initiated and adult led activities that enhance their learning.
Children spend time separated into age groups of 2-3 and 3-5 years, with time each day to spend together and learn from each other.
As your child grows, they will have daily opportunities to develop confidence, independence and social skills. They’ll climb, run, balance, jump, splash, mark make, explore books, and make dens. In our outdoor classroom, they’ll learn to problem solve, take risks, share ideas, develop language and have imaginative adventures.
Your child is entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week from the term after their 3rd birthday. If you are in work, you could be entitled to an additional 15 hours of free childcare. To find out if you are eligible for the additional 15 hours please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Some 2 year olds in our area are also entitled to free funded childcare sessions.
