Playschemes in Dorset for Children with Special Needs

In Dorset, YMCA Fairthorne Group is contracted by the County Council to run school holiday playschemes across the county for children with special needs, and also to provide support to existing special needs groups in Dorset.

Many of the children on the Dorset playschemes enjoy outings to Fairthorne Manor which are offered as part of the Easter and Summer programmes. The playschemes are now being broadened out to offer inclusive play opportunities for the siblings and friends of children with special needs.
