Regular Clubs
Fancy paddling a kayak around the water? Maybe sailing is more your thing, or perhaps you would enjoy a happy variety of activities? Whatever takes your fancy, Fairthorne Manor has a club to suit you and your family and to help you spend some time together participating in fun, healthy activities.
Paddles Up
We are often told by children at Daycamps that Kayaking is one of their favourite activities. Paddles Up is a popular club for all those kayaking fans!
- Every Thursday between 22 April and 23 September
- 1800 - 1930
- Kayaking on the lake
- All abilities welcome
- Develop paddle skills
- Build confidence
- Play games
The whole family is welcome at Paddles Up. Sessions cost £4 per person per session and there is no need to book in advance.
Paddle Sport Courses
Paddle Sports are back by popular demand, with courses starting on 21 March 2010 and 9 May 2010. Paddle Sport Courses are for those who are after some more structured Kayaking skills development.
- Develop flat water skills
- Sessions on the lake and the river
- Work towards Paddle Power Awards
- Potential to achieve British Canoe Union 2* Award
- 18 hours of water time per course
The seven sessions are programmed for September into October.

Family Club
We're sure that many families can appreciate how difficult it is to find fun, low cost and healthy activities to get children away from the games console every now and again and spend time as a family!
Family Club aims to achieve exactly that! The club involves;
- Visiting Fairthorne Manor one Sunday per month
- Meeting other like minded families
- Trying out new activities
The types of activities will vary throughout the year and can include;![]()
- Outdoor adventure activities
- Camp craft
- BBQ and Lake Regatta
- Team building activities

Sailability
After a successful 4 years based at Fairthorne Manor, Sailibility sessions will now be operating on a Monday evening from 1830-2100 at SWAC near the Itchen Bridge in Southampton. To make a booking, please contact SWAC directly on 02380 915753 or email Anna.Zakotti@southampton.gov.uk
