Our Residential Camps at Fairthorne Manor offer the perfect home from home for what’s often a child’s first week away.  Friendly staff, exciting programmes and the chance to make new friends all make for an awesome stay.

Kayaking

How it works

Residential Camps are offered for 8-16 year olds for 5 nights (Sunday to Friday, dates vary due to Bank Holidays) or 2 nights (Friday to Sunday) during the main summer holidays and Easter. Camps can be booked individually or bolted together to make a longer stay.

What’s included

Residential Camps include a full programme of activities throughout the day and evening, accommodation, full board (we can cater for all dietary requirements) and fully qualified, conscientious, friendly staff who are available 24 hours a day for your child.

Equestrian Camp

Activity programme

Children join in with our Daycamp programmes during the day and enjoy their own exciting sessions in the evening. The only exception is our popular Equestrian Camp who utilise the excellent nearby facilities at Pinkmead Equestrian Centre.

Accommodation

Our young guests stay in 6 or 8 person YMCA tents with wooden floors in the summer and in our indoor accommodation at Easter. All tents/rooms are single sex and based on age; our leaders stay in rooms or tents located next to the children’s tents/rooms.

Items that you may need in your kit

What to bring

To ensure a comfortable and memorable visit, it’s important every child is sent with some essential items. As an outdoor centre, it is likely they will get wet and muddy.  See our Residential Camp kit list below for more information and get the washing machine ready for their return.
