Gift Aid

For Individuals

Simply complete the Gift Aid section on the printable donations form. This enables YMCA Fairthorne Group to claim an extra 28 pence from the tax-man for every pound, at no extra cost to you. In this way each £10 given is worth £12.80 to the charity.

If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can also claim back for yourself the difference between the basic and higher rate of tax on the amount given to charity, reducing the cost to you of making the donation. In this way, each £10 given is worth £12.80 to the charity, but only costs the donor £8.20. Alternatively, you can opt to gift this higher rate tax to the charity as well.

Fundraising Events

The Friends of Fairthorne are a volunteer group which organises fundraising events at various times of the year, such as a Craft Fair and Art Show. New members are welcomed. Members can get involved in organising events and helping with stewarding and other tasks. The group currently meets on Wednesday evenings about once every six weeks.
