Action Camp
Our Action Camps are split into different age categories as follows:
Holiday Club (aged 4 - 6 years - school years R to 2)
This fast-moving, varied programme includes the Pirate Obstacle course, Mini-Beast Hunting, Junior Aerial Runway, Junior Climbing Wall and more! Daycamp (non-res) only.
Activity Club (aged 7 - 10 years - school years 3 - 6)
An action-packed programme, including Kayaking, Climbing, Abseiling, Aerial Runway and Archery. Whatever is scheduled, children are sure to return home covered in mud and grinning from ear to ear! Children aged 8 and above can attend Residential Camps!
Adventure Club (aged 11 - 13 years - school years 7 - 9)
A challenging programme packed full of activities such as Burma Bridge, Towers Climbing, Abseiling and Low Ropes.
Club 14 - 16 (aged 14 - 16 years - school years 10 - 11)
A busy programme giving young people a choice of activities including Crate Challenge, Jacob's Ladder, Kayaking and Archery along with more challenging team building sessions.
Become a Pop Star
(aged 7 - 14 years - school years 3 - 9)
Ideal for any budding musicians, pop idols and future superstars, aimed at developing existing talents and encouraging children to learn new skills. Children form a band with other young musicians and work towards performing a show-stopping concert at the end of the week!
Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) Camp
(aged 7 - 14 years - school years 3 - 9)
You have heard of CSI Miami, CSI Las Vegas and CSI New York... well now get ready for CSI Fairthorne Manor! The camp starts with everyone recieving a full CSI Kit which children can take home, and then the training begins! The CSI experience includes Finger Printing, Bullet Examination, Tracking, Forensics, Casting Footprints, Fibre Examination and much much more!
Circus Zone
(aged 7 - 14 years - school years 3 - 9)
Come and join Juggling Jake and experience first hand all the fun of the circus! Learn to walk the tight wire, ride a unicycle, discover comic clowning and learn lots of circus skills such as Plate spinning, Diablo juggling and Poi. Behind all the magic is the opportunity to children to engage in performance art, as well as learning and making their own props. A week of activities will culminate in a Circus Show.
*New* Musical Theatre Camp
(aged 7 - 14 years - school years 3 - 9)
The perfect opportunity for children to try script writing, choreography, acting and production. Work up to the final performance at the end of the week and wow the crowd with a spectacular display! All abilities welcome.
Equestrian Camp
(aged 8 - 16 years - school years 3 - 11)
Run in conjunction with Pinkmead Equestrian Centre located next to our site, this camp offers experiences in all areas of pony-care as well as riding skills and games. Open to all abilities, sessions will be tailored to the needs of each child. Residential option only.
Survival Camp
(aged 7 - 16 years - school years 3 - 11)
Children will take a journey into the Fairthorne wilderness and learn all the techniques essential to survival, including fire-building, campfire cooking and shelter building. This is a great opportunity for children to experience a good part of our expansive Fairthorne site, to enjoy both land and water based activities and even get the chance to sleep under the stars.
Street Dance
(aged 7 - 14 years - school years 3 - 9)
Learn a variety of exciting street dance routines inspired by some of music's most famous artists such as; Michael Jackson, through to more recent legends Usher, Missy Elliott and British Dance group Diversity. There will also be a combination of unique dance routines ranging from jazzy Hip-Hop to funky street.
Water Camp
(aged 7 - 16 years - school years 3 - 11)
We take advantage of our fantastic location where children enjoy sessions on our lake as well as the River Hamble. The water-based fun will include sailing, kayaking, canoeing, Water Slide, raft building and even building and testing your own boat! Available during Summer Daycamps only! Our trained instructors ensure that Water Campers not only have bucket loads of fun but also learn something too!
*New* Turn Nature into Art
(aged 7 - 14 years - school years 3 - 9)
Design and create masterpieces using Fairthorne's vast array of natural materials.
*New* Explorer
(aged 12 - 14 years - school years 8 - 10)
A week long adventure to expand on canoeing skills, learn camp craft, set up your own overnight bivouac, get camouflaged and track during woodland treks.
Young Leaders in Action
(aged 16 - 18 years - college years AS & A2)
A residential camp for young people looking for the next step in personal development. During this action-packed week, participants will complete a range of practical activities that will provide a framework for boosting self-confidence and developing communication and leadership skills.
