Fairthorne Manor Nursery

Fairthorne Manor Nursery is a popular and friendly 89 place nursery offering places for children aged 4 months to 5 years. The rooms in the nursery are light and airy with space for the children to move around, explore freely and have lots of fun! The emphasis is very much on enjoyment and learning through play, providing opportunites for all areas of child development.

The play based curriculum is enhanced by a high standard of equipment and resources both within the nursery and around the grounds of Fairthorne Manor, providing a range of opportunites for indoor and outdoor curriculum and adventures.

Our use of the “Forest School” approach offers children experiences of the outdoors to develop self-esteem, confidence and interactive skills. Activities can include pond dipping, boat trips and forest walks.

Rabbits room provides care for babies from 4 months to 2 years, with rooms for craft, physical play, quiet activities and sleep.

Badgers room provides care for children aged from 2 - 3 years. A beautiful light room, offering a wide variety of stimulating and fun activities to suit the active child.

Foxes room provides a stimulating and fun planned programme for 3-5 year olds to meet the required DfEE curriculum guidance for the foundation stage, preparing children for entry into school.

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to arrange a visit to the nursery before putting their childs’ name forward for a place. There are many opportunites for parents to get to know the staff including parents’ evenings, information evenings and a parent/staff group.
