Administrator (Groups) (ref 371) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £15,000 – £17000 per annum / 37.5 hours per week

Do you have attention to detail? Do you have a passion to ensure groups get the best possible visit? We are recruiting for a person to play a pivotal role, building relationships with and providing first class administration for groups before, during and after their visit. You will be the point of contact for all booked clients, ensuring all aspects of their visit are effectively planned and organised. You will also be responsible for staff deployment and rostering. If you have excellent communication and customer service skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and 1 years experience in an outdoor education centre please apply. Nursery Nurse Apprenticeships / YMCA Nurseries / £5,323.50 per annum / 37.5 hours per week

Are you looking to start your career in childcare and gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst you work? Are you an inspiring, motivated individual with an enthusiastic approach to learning and a drive to continually develop yourself? As an apprentice you will be working alongside a well established staff teams, gaining hands on experience with children and families. You will receive extensive training to gain knowledge and understanding of childcare and the theories behind practice gaining Nationally recognised qualifications as well as an NVQ Level 2 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce. Nursery Nurse (ref 374) / YMCA Preschool Newtown / £5,881.20 – £6,780.57 per annum / 20 hours per week / Term Time

Do you enjoy inspiring young children to learn through play, being active and exciting in all you do? Do you want to work within an exciting and active environment? Level 2 minimum qualification, with prospects to gain higher qualifications in post. Experience in a childcare setting and an understanding of children’s development would be essential. Some understanding of supporting English as an additional language would be desirable or ability to speak languages other than English. Pre-school Staff / YMCA Weeke

YMCA is opening a new pre-school in Weeke, in January 2015 and is recruiting a new staff team. The pre-school will care for up to 30 children aged 2-5years in a new purpose built building shared with the Scout Association. Childcare Trainer/Assessor (Maternity Cover) (ref 366) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £9,600 – £12,000 per annum / 20 hrs per week

We require an inspirational trainer/assessor to lead our existing cohort of 12-15 level 2/3 apprentices. Learners are based at our 11 early year’s setting throughout Southampton, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight. You will need to share our values and be committed to adding value to our young learners. Ideally you should be flexible to meet the needs of the learners and their nursery setting, with an appreciation of individual learning styles and be able to adapt your approach to maximise their potential. Housing staff (ref 339) / YMCA Basingstoke / £7.50 per hour / Zero Hour contract

Are you passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes for young people? We currently house 83 young people young people from challenging backgrounds and help them become confident and independent members of the community. You will be responsible for providing night time/weekend housing related support and security. You will monitor and respond to any incidents that compromise the safety, security and well-being of our tenants, visitors or staff. You will have experience of working this challenging behaviour and individuals, understanding of risk assessments and issues facing young people. Chef (ref 305) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / 23 hours per week / £7.50 – 9.50 per hour

As Chef, you will lead the preparation, cooking and service of food at Fairthorne Manor. The kitchen provides volume catering, the numbers dependant on the season. You will also be responsible for the daily supervision of the kitchen to the Organisation’s standards. We are able to offer straight shifts, with planned weekends off, a very supportive team environment and guaranteed ten days off at Christmas. In addition, the team at Fairthorne Manor are very friendly and energetic and this creates a fun atmosphere to work within. There is an option for catered accommodation which is chargeable. House Porters (ref 348) / YMCA Winchester / £6.50 per hour

We are looking for house Porters to help set up and take down items for events held at the house. The Porter will report to the Duty Manager who manages each event and let. Duties will include laying out a room for a function, packing a room away after a function, aiding the duty manager during a function, taking on any tasks the function may need. The ideal candidate would be flexible and able to work in the evenings when most of the events occur although there may be some during the day.
