Chef (ref 305) 2 posts / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £7.50 to £8.50 per hour / 22 or 23 hours per week

Base at our beautiful Outdoor Centre near Botley, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and service of food to groups and nursery children – our season varies from cooking for 20 up to a maximum of 500 meals at a time across 3 different sites. As Chef, you will also be responsible for the cleaning and supervision of the kitchen to our standards. There are evening and weekend shift available and we are able to provide catered accommodation. You will be a highly motivated person, with the ability to meet deadlines, to use your own initiative in a fast moving and changeable environment. Qualified to at least 7061/2 or NVQ equivalent, you will have proven experience of staff supervision, meeting dietary needs and stock control. Nursery Nurse (ref 363) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £13,000 – £15,000 per annum / 37.5 hours per week

Do you enjoy the outdoors and want to actively participate in inspiring children aged 4months to 5 years to become confident and caring individuals? Based near Botley you will be join an enthusiastic and caring team. You will be using our unique environment to inspire each individual child’s learning and development, incorporating the Forest school approach into the Early years Foundation stage to achieve this. Whether you are NVQ level 2 or 3 qualified or are interested in working with and developing young lives please apply! The nursery is open from 7.30am-6pm, with staff working on a rota basis. Nursery Nurse Apprenticeship (ref 265) / £5323.50 / 37.50 hours per week

Are you an inspiring, motivated individual with an enthusiastic approach to learning and a drive to continually develop yourself? As an apprentice you will be working alongside a well established staff team, gaining hands on experience with children and families. As one of our valued apprentices, you will be trained to engage and enthuse groups of children and young people, the ‘YMCA Way’. Plus gain nationally recognised qualifications to enable you to instruct a wide range of outdoor education activities. We can provide you with support through your apprenticeship, onsite shared accommodation (if required, rent chargeable) and you will be paid £5678.40 per year (£109.20 per week). Senior Instructor (Ref 361) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £15,000 – £18,000 per annum / 40 hours per week

Do you have a real passion for the great Outdoors, can you inspire others to share your passion, if so, then join us to train the next generation of Activity Leaders at our exciting and outstanding multi activity centre. As a key member of our team, you will have previous experience of working in outdoor education (or similar environment) with children/young people. You will also have experience in taking an active role in instructing traditional outdoor pursuits as well as maintaining a range of activities and equipment, supported by at least 1 NGB. A proven record of supervising, train and mentor a diverse group of Activity Leaders, with a caring concern for their professional development, performance and welfare. House Porters (ref 348) / YMCA Winchester / £6.50 per hour

We are looking for house Porters to help set up and take down items for events held at the house. The Porter will report to the Duty Manager who manages each event and let. Duties will include laying out a room for a function, packing a room away after a function, aiding the duty manager during a function, taking on any tasks the function may need. The ideal candidate would be flexible and able to work in the evenings when most of the events occur although there may be some during the day.
