Youth Worker (ref 462) / YMCA Winchester / £10,080 – £10,640 per annum / 21 hours per week

Would you like to develop and run a range of youth services for local Churches in Kings Worthy and Kings Somborne areas? Are you able to provide a listening ear to young people? Working in partnership with St Mary’s Church (2 days a week), you will be able to relate to young people with different needs, plan exciting activities that encourage interest and stimulate growth of the Christian faith. You will also work towards attracting a diverse range of young people and the wider community of Winchester, utilising our hub at St Johns House in the heart of Winchester. You will be working Fridays 2.30pm – 9.30pm, alternate Sundays and another day of your choice. Our ideal person will have proven experience in Youth Work – delivering/leading youth programmes, a practicing Christian and have your own transport. Daycamp Group Leader (ref 452) / YMCA Basingstoke / £6.75 – £8.20 per hour

If you are a welcoming and caring person, and want to provide exciting activities and experiences for children and young people, this could be the job for you. You will be joining a new and innovative Daycamp programme as a group leader. You will need enthusiasm and imagination to welcome and provide an amazing experience for the children and to follow the programme and know what activities you are doing for the whole day. You will also be trained in a variety of activities, as well as group games, take children to the toilet, supervise lunch, help children make friends, support children on activities, have your face painted, wear silly outfits, sing lots of songs, help sort out arguments, generally welcome, care for and inspire the children. For our Daycamp Work to deliver fantastic experiences across Basingstoke, we want new Daycamp Leaders/Playworkers to join the team in delivering exciting activities and challenges to the children who access our services. Fairthorne Manor Holiday Schemes

Daycamp Group Leader – Big Day (ref 453) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £8.20 per hour

If you are a welcoming and caring person, and want to provide exciting activities and experiences for children and young people this could be the job for you. You will be joining the very successful Daycamp programme as the Big Day leader. You will have day to day responsibility for both the children and staff within Big Day, which is an extension of our Daycamps programme both at the beginning and end of each day. Big Day provides activities and meals between 07.45am – 09.30am and  3.30pm – 6.00pm (7pm on Thursdays during summer), for children aged 4-16. You will need enthusiasm and imagination to welcome and provide an amazing experience for the children. If you want to provide inspirational experiences for young children in an amazing outdoor setting this could be the job for you. You will be joining the very successful Daycamp programme as the Holiday Club Age Group leader. You will have day to day responsibility for both the children and staff within Holiday Club, ensuring the pastoral care for children aged 4-7 and will be their support and inspiration while they are here. If you’re a welcoming and caring person, and you want to provide an exciting experience for children and young people with additional needs this could be the job for you. You will be joining our very successful Ofsted outstanding Daycamp programme as a buddy.  You will need enthusiasm,  imagination and be able to work with a designated child as a 1:1 carer to ensure that they are able to engage with a group of non disabled peers and participate in the activities on offer. Community Co-ordinator (ref 457) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / 37.5 hours per week / £20,000 – £22,000 per annum

At the YMCA, we are changing how we see the world and placing a strong emphasis on our community of families who are members of the YMCA. Our exciting new Community Co-ordinator role will spearhead the inspiring changes we have planned.  You will organise activities and programmes that are for “The YMCA Community”, including our popular family festival camping weekends and members events. This is a demanding, yet rewarding, role. Volunteer Daycamp Leader (ref 376) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / 22nd June 2015 – 30th August 2015

You will be joining the very successful Daycamp programme as a group leader, and trained in a variety of activities including Obstacle Course, Aqua Slide and Den Building, as well as group games and Playwork. You will have pastoral responsibility for children aged 4-16 and will be their support and inspiration while they are here. You will need enthusiasm and imagination to welcome and provide an amazing experience for the children. You will be involved in all aspects of Daycamps including Big Day, Sleepover and Campfire. You will be sharing accommodation with other Volunteer Daycamp Leaders on the Fairthorne Manor site and all of your main meals will be catered for. Chef, Maternity Cover (ref 417) / YMCA Fairthorne Manor / £14,625 – £18,525 per annum / 37.5 hours per week

You will share the lead for the preparation, cooking and service of food at Fairthorne Manor. You will also be responsible for the daily supervision of the kitchen to our standards. You will have a passion for cooking and be willing to share your knowledge and experience with the apprentices. This is to cover a period of maternity leave between April 2015 – 31 January 2016. Are you looking at starting your career in catering? We are able to offer 6 apprenticeship placements for keen and dedicated chefs, wanting to work towards their Professional Cookery level 2 qualification. Night Security (ref 437) / YMCA Southampton / £8.00 per hour / Bank

You will be based at our George Williams House site where we provide accommodation and support to 40 Young People. You will be responsible for providing night time security cover and at times a low level of housing related support. You will monitor and respond to any incidents that compromise the safety, security and well-being of our tenants, visitors or staff. At times it may be necessary to provide telephone guidance and support to young people accommodated in our satellite properties.
