Volunteer

Why volunteer?

As a charity supporting children, young people and their families, volunteers play an essential part in helping us deliver our mission – to champion and add value to young lives by providing experiences that challenge, enable and develop the individual.

We provide volunteering opportunities for people of all ages across all areas and services, so if you feel you can help us and gain valuable skills at the same time, please get in touch.

All individuals that embark on volunteering roles within YMCA undergo standard recruitment checks, complete induction and role training and receive on-going support.

Become a volunteer

YMCA has a standard recruitment procedure in place to ensure that volunteering is safe and well managed for everyone. We provide volunteers with a training package that has been developed around each of our one-off, part-time and full-time volunteering roles. Once you have applied to volunteer with us, we’ll keep you fully informed about our recruitment and training packages.

See the tabs below for specific volunteering roles and apply using the relevant form or button beside each role.

The tabs also provide information on other volunteering opportunities and contact details for specific areas to discuss the options.  To apply for one of these roles, apply via our online portal or complete and return an application form  to volunteering@ymca-fg.org.
