Every summer, YMCA Fairthorne Manor hosts the largest festival in the world for young people with a caring responsibility at home.
Created in 2000 and run in partnership with The Children’s Society, the weekend provides opportunities for young people to enjoy a break from their responsibilities, have fun, make new friends and have their voices heard on issues that affect them. Consultation with young carers has resulted in two changes in legislation to help support their needs and those of their families.
Check out our video of the 2017 festival above, where over 1300 young people enjoyed camping, adventure activities, bands, fairground rides, radio station and much more.
The festival will run from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July 2018, with the theme of “I’m here, right here”.
Group leaders can download the booking pack below – book by 20th April 2018 to receive the discounted early bird rate!
